Oh there we go, that’s the stuff. Yeah! Hell Yeah.

A couple of stray observations:

Hey! That’s the TIE Avenger!

That’s cut like a real trailer for a real prestige TV show, not the “more slop for nerds” vibe the last couple of Star Wars show trailers have had. That’s a good sign! They might actually know what they have on their hands this time.

On the other hand, maybe they don’t, because I am not crazy about this 3x a week release schedule. You could have dominated the pop culture space for three months, and now you’re going to burn it off in one? It’s not like Star Wars couldn’t use an extended period of good press, you know, why give that up? Instead of everyone talking about the same cliffhanger at the same time, it’s going to be weeks of “hey, are you caught up yet?” Why on earth would you ever give up that week everyone was buzzing about “Never more than twelve?”

And on a personal note, 3 episodes a week? On a school night? I don’t mean that metaphorically either, it’s going to drop on Tuesdays, and look, I don’t know about your kids, but mine have homework and also need to get to sleep at some point. It’s incredibly disrespectful that they expect me to, what, just blow a hole that big in the homework time for the week? On a pure logistics angle, I just don’t know when we’re going to watch this. One episode a week would have been a slam dunk. Just saying, Doctor Who is polite enough to air on Saturday nights.

Seems like a show about the start of an armed revolt that’s ultimately successful in overthrowing the government is gonna hit different in ’25 than it did in ’22.
